Addressing Human-Wildlife Conflicts and the consequences of climate change together from a Christian perspective

​The Blooming Desert project uses a new holistic approach that incorporates local belief systems. The aim is to reduce human-wildlife conflict in Kenya, actively limit the effects of climate change and thus improve the livelihoods of people and wildlife and jointly restore and secure habitats.

Join the 15*50 campaign 

Become one of 50 people contributing €15 a month to Blooming Desert. In doing so, you support the founding of the organization in Germany, ongoing planning in Kenya, but above all, you help ensure the stability and predictability of our work.

    Together we cook typical Kenyan meals and while we enjoy them together, there will be a small presentation on Blooming Desert with success stories, photos and funny anecdotes.

    Blooming Desert will lead a workshop at the freakstock festival together with friends of A Rocha Germany. If you are at the freakstock, come around to the 'forest and meadow cathedral'

Presentation

Presentation with a focus on nature conservation or Christian faith with a clear structure, facts, photos, the vision and mission of Blooming Desert (especially for nature conservation centers, churches, working groups, schools, universities)

Public reading

I read parts of my unpublished book and take the audience on my exciting, moving, challenging and wonderful journey of the last 10 years in Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Sweden and Kenya (especially in churches, bookstores, libraries, celebrations, cultural centers)

Photo exhibition

Some of the numerous photos I have taken over the last 10 years, all of which tell a story, are exhibited and invite to reflection and awe (especially in cultural centers, churches, galleries)

Workshop

Interactive journey of discovery in a village in Kenya with role assignment and the joint discovery of the situation, needs and challenges as well as finding a solution (especially in working groups, seminars, universities, schools, conferences)

Cooking evening

While we cook Kenyan meals together, I share some facts and experiences so that we can spend an evening together in Kenya (especially in cultural centers, celebrations, churches)

Information material

I am also happy to provide information material for fundraising events where I am not personally present (especially at exhibitions, celebrations, fundraising runs)
